Casio owns one of the first smartwatches to feature Android 2.0 out of the box as the Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20 was just launched on Amazon. Officially unveiled at this year’s annual CES Event and heralded to be one of the first to rock Android newest operating system for smartwatches delivered on its promise on doing just that.
The Casio Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20 Smartwatch replaces the former model WSD-F10 and can be picked up through Amazon for $499. With similar design qualities as the older model, the WSD-F20, but differs with numerous upgrades including a built-in low-power GPS sensor.
The built-in GPS sensor is expected to become very popular with people looking to take advantage of the great outdoors. The GPS sensor integrates well with the color maps which can also be accessed off-line when traveling terrain where cell coverage would be less than accessible.
The WSD-F20 takes GPS tracking to a whole new level with customizable markers which allows users to add text and other points of reference to their own maps. This makes accessing previously tracked locations and other waypoints as easy as accessing your saved maps right from your smartwatch.
