There has been a lot of speculation on the specs for the upcoming HTC One A9, or Aero, but from what we’ve been seeing it looks to be a mid-range handset which should come with a mid-range price. New information posted today on the web suggests the launch price will be everything but which is expected to have many consumers looking the other way.
Information obtained on a website out of Denmark has the HTC One A9 price listed at just under $800. This in itself is amazing considering the specs revealed so far would suggest a much cheaper price point. Centralpoint.nl has the launch price listed at $792, but as of now it’s uncertain if this is a placeholder price or will be the actual sales price once the A9 goes up for preorder.
The official unveiling is said to come on September 29th, but we already have what seems to be the specs for the new handset. Expected to feature an either Qualcomm’s 615 or 820 SoC and is expected to have Google’s new Marshmallow operating system preinstalled. The 29th launch announcement is also expected to introduce HTC’s new smartwatch rumored to feature a round design.
We’ll also likely see a rear fingerprint scanner, 2150 mAh battery, 5” Super Amoled display, 2GB RAM, and will feature 16GB of internal memory. While much of this is still uncertain, it seems to be a pretty good indication on things to come.
We’ll see you on the 29th when everything including the specs, features, and hopefully the HTC One A9 price becomes official.
