Here in a few days Google is expected to unveil both new Nexus smartphones to the whole world, and just before the unveiling the specs are leaked on the Nexus 5X. LG and Huawei are the manufacturers who will be launching the new Nexus handsets with each having a distinct outlook on what the specs should be. While both are considered high-end smartphones, the LG Nexus 5X is creating quite a stir.
Leaks on the LG Nexus 5X specs include a 5.2” full HD display with a 1080p resolution, Snapdragon Qualcomm 808 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz, 12.3MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB native storage, and a 2700 mAh battery.
It’s also rumored the new Android 6.0 operating system will be preinstalled as is the case with the Huawei Nexus model. Marshmallow is set to debut on the new Nexus lineup before being released to manufacturers of other devices which will then get their finishing touches before being rolled out to handsets. Samsung is rumored to be the first non-Google manufacturer to receive Marshmallow and is expected to be released to flagships including the GS7, GS7 Plus, and GS Note 5 first.
Side by side with the Huawei Nexus 6P, the LG model looks inferior when looking at the specs. The new Huawei Nexus is rumored to boast a 5.7” QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, Qualcomm 810 SoC clocked at 1.9Ghz, 3GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera.
As of now, there’s no official word on the price of either model, though rumors are pretty consistent the Huawei Nexus 6P price will be slightly more. We’ll keep you updated, and be sure to check back on the 29th to see all details including the official LG Nexus 5X specs.
