The official release date for the BlackBerry KEYone for the US and Canadian markets has just been made official and consumers won’t have to wait long at all. The much awaited launch date for the newest BlackBerry will be May 31st for the GSM and CDMA versions while carriers such as Sprint to follow later this summer. For business savvy users waiting for the keyboard-interface smartphone, the wait is almost over.
The unlocked BlackBerry KEYOne will be available in the US market on May 31st and will also debut the same day as unlocked and locked through most of the larger Canadian carriers. Rogers, Bell, SaskTel, TELUS Business, and Bell MTS will all feature the KEYOne launch while preorders began about a week ago. In Canada, you can expect to spend $199 which is highly competitive for a brand new BlackBerry.
For the US BlackBerry KEYone release date, Sprint has already confirmed availability, but there’s been no official word from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon. Sprint sales won’t begin until sometime during the summer with an official release date not expected to be made official until the end of May.
