Since debuted the Galaxy S Active series, it seems that a specific subset of consumers have come to appreciate the rugged, and waterproof features of the Galaxy S variant. It seems like it’ll be back once again as we’ve uncovered some new rumors on the release date and price of what looks to be the 2016 launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active.
The early Samsung Galaxy S7 Active release date and price rumors suggests it will once again be the durable, and waterproof version of the S7. There has been a lot of speculation that all models of the S7 including the Galaxy S7 Edge and S7 Edge Plus would feature a waterproof and dustproof surround, but its certain they won’t feature the much more durable surround.
The rugged design quality of the S7 Active is once again expected to be an AT&T exclusive launch, and is expected to debut after the original model. The latest rumors on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active release date suggests it should become available for preorder in May of 2016. This would mean an AT&T release date could come as early as June of next year which is pretty consistent with previous year’s versions.
According to our partners over at Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Active.com, the specs and features are likely to include a 5.2” Super Amoled display with a resolution of 3480 x 2160, Qualcomm 820 SoC that could be clocked at a blazing fast 3.3Ghz, 4GB RAM, 19 MP rear camera, 7 MP front camera, and boast expandable memory with a 128GB micro SD card slot.
We’re hoping Samsung leaks out something soon on the 2016 launch of the Galaxy S7, and when they do we’ll be right there waiting. For now, be sure to check out the full length preview detailing all there is to know.
