The BlackBerry KeyOne was first revealed at this year’s annual Mobile World Congress event, but nothing has been made public as to the price. We already know the KeyOne will sport mid-range specs and will appeal to a different subset of users other than loyal Android and IOS enthusiasts. Until now, there’s been a lot of speculation on the US price which we’ve just found out will be made official this coming week.
The US BlackBerry KeyONE price is expected to come in at the higher end of the price range along with the Galaxy S8 and other flagships. This is somewhat concerning, especially considering it won’t be sporting flagship type specs. For some, this will be a deterrence, but for most of the loyal Blackberry users it won’t mean a thing.
The Blackberry KeyOne will appeal to a clientele more intent on productivity than the price, and the KeyOne is expected to over-deliver. Blackberry is hoping the next-coming will help with dismal sales and plummeting profit margins over the past couple of years which leaves most analysts doubting their long-term success.
With the price expected to be made official for US consumers, it’ll set the stage for a mid-May launch.
