There is a lot of anticipation on the upcoming unveiling of the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch as it will help transform the future model of smartwatch technology. Already regarded as the first smartwatch to offer independent tethering with 3G technology, which is expected to become the new trend which other manufacturers look to emulate.
Samsung has become one of the pioneers in mobile technology, and with the upcoming launch of the Gear S2 it gives Sammy one more reason why. With the Samsung Gear S2, Gear S2 3G, and Gear S2 Classic all expected to be released here in the US on October 3rd, the time is almost here for consumers to finally take notice.
The Gear S2 was made official during IFA a couple of months back, and since then there has been a lot of speculation on the launch price. We have uncovered some very good information that suggests the US Samsung Gear S2 price will vary between $350 and $400 depending on the model. The standard Gear S2 is expected to set you back $350 while both the 3G and Classic models will cost you a cool $400.
As of now, it seems like the 3G model will only retail in the United States and Korea. Due to compatibility with carriers in other markets, but there’s the possibility the 3G model can be used outside of the US and Korea e-SIM technology. This technology is not currently offered in all markets worldwide which seems to be the biggest problems consumers would have to be made aware of.
