Nougat is easily the most anticipated update this year if your rocking an Android smartphone and Samsung has done a great job releasing it for all of their top phones before many other manufacturers. Verizon customers will be happy to know that Android 7.0 has just been spotted rolling out to handsets across the US for both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
The Android 7.0 Nougat Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge update has been spotted with software versions software versions NRD90M.G920VVRS4DQD1 and NRD90M.G925VVRS4DQD1 with Verizon being the first carrier. The other big four including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint won’t be far behind, but as of yet, no official date has been given.
We’re unsure as to the update size, but before you take to Wi-Fi make sure you backup all of your valuables such as your contacts and other important information.
Users who have already taken Android 7.0 for a spin have raved over many of the new features including an enhanced UI interface, improved battery management system, more multitasking capabilities, and a more functional keyboard.
If you’ve yet to see the onscreen display for the Nougat Android 7.0 update on your GS6 or GS6 Edge, you can always check for the update manually by going to your phone’s settings and “check for updates”.
