The Samsung Galaxy J2 is about to join the J1, J5, and J7 in India as the newly announced mid-range handset has just been made official. The Galaxy J2 has only been made official in India with no world on the availability in other markets, and for a price that is comparable with the other J series launches it’s expected to become quite popular in the Indian market.
The India Samsung Galaxy J2 packs quite a punch, especially considering the launch price will only be just under Rs. 8,500 which is the equivalent to only $129. The official release date in India will start September 21st and you can pick up the new handset through Samsung’s India online retailer which gives you a pretty decent smartphone considering how much you’ll pay.
The specs include a 4.7” display with a resolution of 540 x 960, quad-core Exynos 1.3GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 2000 mAh battery, 5 MP rear camera, 2 MP front-facing camera, 8 GB onboard storage, and features expandable memory. The J2 will also feature the latest version of Lollipop with Android 5.1 pre-installed.
Some of the best India Samsung Galaxy J2 features include Opera Max which will be pre-installed. Opera Max has become a very popular Android App as it significantly reduces the amount of mobile data that one uses. It’s enhanced reduces mobile data used by as much as 50% frees up more than 10% of allocated RAM.
While the camera megapixels won’t exactly blow you away, the front camera features an LED flash which will be perfect for selfie lovers.
