LG Class Official Announcement September 21st, Specs Include Metalic Body, 5.7″ Display, and 3GB RAM
On September 21st, LG is expected to announce a new Class smartphone that may not see its way outside of Korea, at all. Rumors on the LG Class have all all but confirmed, at least the concept has. Today, a picture posted by LG displays a metallic body smartphone with the heading that “Something New”, referring to an announcement coming here in a few days.
The LG Class, codenamed LG-H740 is believed to be a mid-range handset and sounds like it’ll only be launched in Korea. There’s been no word if those outside of Korea will see the new handset, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed it’ll debut in other larger markets.
Rumored specs include a Phablet style 5.7” display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, 2GB RAM, 12 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, and will feature the latest version of Lollipop with Android 5.1 pre-installed.
Unfortunately, it sounds like the Class will only be featured in one model with 8GB of internal memory, but expandable memory will be an option with a micro SD card slot.
The most noticeable difference between the Class and other LG smartphones will be the full metal body. LG has typically went with a plastic body, but persistent rumors suggest that most upcoming smartphones will be coming with a more durable, and higher class metal body.
Only time will tell, and on the 21st we should know much more on what many believe will be the LG Class official announcement.
