Microsoft’s 1st Windows 10 Smartphones; Lumia 950 and 950 XL to Launch October 10th
With Windows 10 mobile set to debut, so too are the first Microsoft Windows 10 smartphones. Both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will be the first Microsoft smartphones to features the mobile version of Windows 10 operating system, and their expected to launch worldwide starting October 10th.
The leaks on the release date for both Lumia 950 variants are expected to boast high-end specs and features, and are both expected to become quite popular with consumers. The Windows 10 operating system is already getting rave reviews, and the mobile version for smartphones is expected to be much more aligned for mobile productivity.
There has been speculation on the October 10th Lumia 950 XL and Microsoft Lumia 950 release date that this would instead be the official unveiling. Either way, Microsoft has become known for huge announcements which also turns into the availability date for consumers which is what we’re expecting on the 10th of next month.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will be the larger, and premium version which will feature a 5.7” Quad-HD display. We’ll also see the Qualcomm 810 octa-core processor that is believed to be an upgraded version that will be free from any overheating issues we’ve seen in other 810 processors. The XL will also feature a retina eye scanner and 3300 mAh battery.
The standard Lumia 950 will feature a 5.2” Quad-HD display and the slower Qualcomm 808 processor. Both versions will feature 3GB RAM, 20 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, and boast a resolution of 2560 x 1440.
As of now, there’s been no word on the launch price, but we’ll be updating you with the official announcement as soon as we get it.
