Motorola’s latest smartphone has finally landed in India, and looks to be a reasonably priced smartphone when comparing it to previous Motorola launches. The Moto X Play was made official months ago, but debuts today in one of the biggest smartphone markets in the world. The Motorola Moto X Play is a mid-range handset that is slightly lower when looking at the specs of the Moto X Style.
The Motorola X Play India launch is expected to become quite popular among consumers looking for a quality handset at a very affordable price. With a launch price of only Rs. 18,499 ($278) it’s easy to see why so many have already picked one up.
Featuring a 5.5” full HD display, Snapdragon 615 SoC octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 21 MP rear camera, and a 5 MP front camera. There will be two models with each featuring expandable memory to 128GB with a micro SD card slot including a 16 and 32GB model.
Other Motorola Moto X features include a water repellant, but not waterproof surround which will help protect the handset from any low-moderations of water. It’s extremely important to understand the Moto X is not waterproof, so no submersion in water looking for looking for those cool underwater photos. The latest version of Lollipop as Android 5.1 will be pre-installed along with dual SIM LTE connectivity.
