On the verge of the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 we’ve uncovered new leaks suggesting the new S Pen will feature bluetooth technology. While not confirmed, our sources tell us the Note 9 will be bluetooth and will offer new features built-in that have yet to be seen.
Samsung has graced us with high-end features in each new release and with what once was the high-end handset, the Note series is destined for something new.
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ displayed new advancements in smartphone technology including an amazing processor and the best camera specs we’ve seen to date. With the Galaxy S series becoming comparable in size to the Note series, the Note 9 needs to differentiate itself from the S series with the S Pen.
While there’s no confirmation on bluetooth technology, there’s still questions on the charging capability and how else bluetooth will function. It’s likely the S Pen will automatically be charged when docked and other rumors suggest it’ll offer external controls such as camera control.
We’re also hearing the Note 9 will launch in three color variants including blue, black and brown. The black and brown models are believed to feature a color matched S Pen while the blue model is believed to feature a yellow S Pen according to new leaks.
Other specs include a slightly larger screen at 6.38-inches, and an in-built fingerprint scanner. The biggest question remains untold, the price. With Apple testing the waters and proving that consumers aren’t afraid of the $1000 mark with the iPhone X, expect the Galaxy Note 9 price to be same.
We’ll have to wait until the official launch on August 9th with sales starting in the US August 24th. We’ll keep you updated.
