While just three days removed form the Galaxy S8 launch, we’re already hearing about a next generation processor which will be powering the 2018 Galaxy S flagship. We’ve just learned that Samsung and Qualcomm are already working on the processor that will be powering the Samsung Galaxy S9 which is said to be the Snapdragon 845 SoC.
This comes as no surprise with Samsung always looking to push the envelope which was seen in both versions of the S8. Both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are the first flagships to feature the current next gen processor, Snapdragon 835.
It’s nice to see the South Korean tech giant is still considering to push the envelope after their early success with the S8 with the Galaxy S9 looking to be the first major flagship consumers will see in 2018.
As of yet, there are no official details on the performance features of the Snapdragon 845, but it’s safe to assume it’ll be faster, more efficient, and will power most flagships launching in 2018.
