T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge Plus Update Adds Video Calling, Samsung Pay, and More Features
When Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, they came with the idea that some very important features would be on the way shortly after. It now seems that an update is available for all new Samsung smartphones that brings video calling, Samsung Pay, and more features to a handset near you.
T-Mobile is wasting no time releasing the update as it’s been seen rolling out via an OTA install. The new T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy update adds video calling, and the newly released Samsung Pay to the mobile platform which fully enhances the user experience.
Video calling has become a very popular feature, and one that consumers have been asking for since the launch of the Note 5, GS6, GS6 Edge, and GS6 Edge Plus. T-Mobile created their own software with advanced calling features that allows users to send 10 MB of video via text and enjoy real-time chat, for free.
Samsung Pay was just launched, and adds the mobile payment option to all new Samsung handsets. The T-Mobile update will also be rolling out to other newer smartphones in the coming weeks with older models getting the OTA install in the coming months.
Mobile payments have become increasingly popular with consumers looking for a convenient, secure payment option while on the go, and differentiates between Apple Pay without the need for NFC. Samsung Pay is expected to make its US debut on September 28th, and is expected to become a better alternative to Apple Pay while working with more retailers nationwide.
If you haven’t seen the GS6, GS6 Edge, GS6 Edge Plus or T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 5 update yet, you will. Of course, you can always check to see if the update is available manually by going to your device settings and choose check for updates. To maximize the install process, it’s always recommended to install over a Wi-Fi conection.
